Selma Interpretive Center will host a presentation by a speaker for Armed Forces Day on May 20 at 1 p.m. 

The presentation will feature Henry Allen. According to a statement from the center, Allen was active in the Civil Rights Movement as a Foot Soldier. 

He will talk about his experience as a draftee in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, as well as being the first Black man to enlist in the Alabama Army National Guard. 

The center is located at 2 Broad Street in Selma.
