A motorcyclist from Selma was killed in a traffic accident in the evening hours of Thursday, said a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) on Friday. 

According to the report the accident took place at approximately 6:20 p.m. when Henry Jemison, 82, was driving a 2008 Can-Am Spyder GS motorcycle that struck 2009 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by William L. Henton III, 40, of Tuscaloosa.

Jemison was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The accident took place on U.S. 80 near the 78 mile marker, approximately four miles west of Selma.
