Selma native Ronnie Leet has been selected to be a vice president of the University of Alabama (UA) National Alumni Association (NAA) Executive Committee.Â
Leet is one of 10 new vice presidents to serve with the association and represents District 10. He is a 1973 graduate from UA, holding a degree in marketing from the Culverhouse College of Business.Â
Additionally, he is president of the Dallas Wilcox Bama Club.
Officers of the executive committee of the NAA are elected to three-year terms. The committee consists of the president, president-elect, past president, executive secretary, treasurer, 16 district vice presidents in Alabama and six regional vice presidents in the country.
"The executive committee works with the Alumni Office to approve the operating budget and carry out the programming and policies of the Alumni Association," said a press release from UA.
"The executive committee plays a vital role in ensuring the success of the association across the country, and members dedicate considerable amounts of time and effort to its initiatives. The Alumni Association would not function the same without the executive committee’s insight.
