New BBNN website

The Selma Sun and the Black Belt News Network are the go-to sources for news and information in Alabama’s midsection, and our enhanced website will make the experience of reading news online even better.

On Aug. 11, visitors to SelmaSun.com and BlackBeltNewsNetwork.com will find a website that has been refreshed and redesigned. The new website is specially designed to work best with cell phones, which is how 90% of our online readers access us.

Readers will see that we have combined the SelmaSun.com site with its sister site, the award-winning BlackBeltNewsNetwork.com. That means folks who are used to seeing the Selma Sun site will be welcomed by a different home page, one that lists the top news the region as well as Selma-Dallas County news.

If you prefer to keep your focus on Selma-Dallas County news, you can select Dallas County as your destination from the list of counties we serve.

Readers who have subscribed to the online version of the Selma Sun will find the latest PDF edition of the Selma Sun on the new homepage. You can subscribe to the weekly electronic Sulma Sun for just $32 a year by visiting https://www.blackbeltnewsnetwork.com/site/forms/subscription_services.

You can also sign up for our free newly combined daily e-newsletter and receive the day’s top headlines from around the Black Belt every day at 3 p.m. by visiting https://www.blackbeltnewsnetwork.com/newsletter.

At the Selma Sun and the Black Belt News Network, we are committed to providing the latest news from Selma-Dallas County and the distinctive region that surrounds it. We believe news should be available to everyone. That’s why our print newspaper and its electronic version are available for a very reasonable price, and our online news is available for free, with no subscription or paywall.

To continue offering this level of journalism for free, we rely on the generous support of individuals like you who value the role of a free and independent press. By donating, you ensure that our community remains informed and engaged. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Make a donation by clicking the red Donate Now button at blackbeltnewsnetwork.com or by scanning the QR code at the bottom of the Selma Sun’s front page.
