House fire stock

A woman died during a fire incident in Selma on Tuesday afternoon. 

According to WSFA, she was identified as Nedlene Gordon, 64. She was reportedly a grandmother who had lived in the house for over two decades before her death. 

The incident took place Old Montgomery Highway near the 200 block of Lands End Avenue at around 2 p.m. It was one of several recent fires in the central Alabama area. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
