The annual Monster March is set for Thursday in downtown Selma.
Presented by the City of Selma and the Selma-Dallas County Public Library, the event will begin at 3 p.m. with face painting and crafts at the library, followed by the march at 4 p.m.Â
The parade will proceed from Broad Street to Riverfront Park. Additionally, there will be a costume contest, a DJ, treats from Kona Ice and other activities. Â
If it rains, it will be held on Oct. 29.

Starting at the library:
3 PM Costume Contest RegistrationÂ
3 PM Face Painting & CraftsÂ
4 PM March BeginsÂ
It ends at Riverfront Park, where there will be: Â Â
4 PM Food TrucksÂ
5 PM Monster Village | Games | MusicÂ
5 PM Costume WinnersÂ
5 PM Hay RidesÂ
6 PM Movie on the Lawn presented by Walton Theater
The Selma Sun staff will be handing out candy at the office on Broad Street, along with many other downtown businesses.
