A new senior vice president of community affairs and Southern Division of Alabama Power has been named. 

Quentin Riggins had previously served as senior vice president of Governmental and Corporate Affairs for the company. Before joining in 2011 he worked for the state government for 25 years. 

"As senior vice president of community affairs and Southern Division, Riggins is responsible for the company’s external and community development activities and direct executive leadership across south-central Alabama, including Montgomery," said a press release from Alabama Power. 

"In this role, Riggins also serves as a strategic ambassador, fostering relationships with key stakeholders to align the company’s reputation with statewide initiatives, enhance community engagement and drive sustainable growth."

He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and distributive education at Auburn University and is a member of its board of trustees and the Tigers Unlimited board, said the press release. Additionally, he serves on the boards of the Frank M. Johnson Institute and the Alabama Children’s Aid Society.
