Stock the Shelves Food and Fund Drive to be held for COA Food Pantry

On Friday, Oct. 30, the Christian Outreach Alliance will hold its Stock the Shelves Food and Fund Drive for its food pantry.

COA does not receive federal funds or from United Way and is supported by the community. The majority of the food it gives away is bought from Selma Food Bank.

According to a press release from COA, they give away approximately 10,000 bags of food a year to residents in Dallas County.

Volunteers will be on site at 700 J. L. Chestnut Blvd. to take food and monetary donations. Due to COVID restrictions, donors are asked to remain in their cars when dropping off items.

Monetary donations can be mailed to P. O. Box 2141 in Selma. The drive will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
