Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) has announced that her offices are taking submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition after announcing the winners of last year's contest.Â
The challenge is for students in middle and high schools, as well as private schools and home schooled students in the seventh district of Alabama.

To submit students are asked to sign an information and release form. These offices in the Black Belt will accept submissions that are dropped off.Â

Brianna Turner, an 11th grader at Demopolis High School, was recognized in 2025 for her art piece titled "The Heart Revealed".Â
"A proud product of Alabama’s rural Black Belt, Rep. Sewell has witnessed firsthand the talent that Alabama’s 7th Congressional District holds," said Sewell's announcement. "Each year she is immensely impressed with the submissions and proud to have the winning artwork representing the 7th Congressional District displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
