Foster Hall at Selma University

Foster Hall, built in 1910, is the oldest building on Selma University's campus. It was built as a women’s dorm. The first floor will soon be renovated into classroom and meeting space, the upper floors for their original purpose.

Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) will tour the sites of federally funded projects in Selma on Thursday, including several buildings at Selma University where renovations are taking place.

A press release from Sewell stated that she will be briefed by Mayor Johnny Moss and city officials on federally funded projects in Selma before she holds a press conference at 11:30 a.m.

Afterwards, she will begin touring sites and will later see the Dinkins Hall, Foster Hall, and Pollard Hall at Selma University undergoing $2 million in renovations.

Following this Sewell will hold a press conference in front of Pollard Hall at 2 p.m.
