All but a handful of counties in Alabama have been designated high risk for COVID as rising rates of cases continue to be recorded, with three Black Belt areas being among those that are low risk. 

According to a page from the CDC there 10 counties that are in the low or medium categories. Among those areas are three Black Belt counties. These are: Pickens, Greene, and Hale. 

The Alabama Department of Public Health advises anyone in a county under a higher risk category to wear face masks indoors, as well as take precautions as needed and stay up to date with vaccines.
