Alligator stock

The Tombigbee River in Demopolis is among others with the most alligators in Alabama, according to worldatlas.com. 

The 200-mile river was noted to attract alligators because of its ideal conditions such as warmth and isolation. 

The waters' tendency to move slowly contributes to denser vegetation and fish for alligators to eat. The backwaters of Demopolis are commonly home to these animals. 

The Tombigbee connects to the Mobile-Tensaw Delta allows alligators to move between different habitats and maintain genetic diversity.
