Troy University’s Wiregrass Alabama Area Health Education Center (AHEC) will collaborate with the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) for a conference focusing on lupus care in rural communities on July 18.Â
The conference will be led by Dr. Ariail G. Schmitz, DO, a rheumatologist affiliated with Southeast Health Medical Center. Dr. Schmitz.Â
Improving access to care for people with lupus will be the focus of the event, particularly for those living in rural areas and reportedly have challenges in getting care.Â
Though the conference will be held in Dothan it can be attended virtually. See here to register and attend.Â
