Troy University is offering a new Ph.D. or doctorate program for Global Leadership to prepare students for engaging in different healthcare systems throughout the world.Â
The program integrates the College of Education and the College of Health Sciences where students complete leadership courses and then "pivot" to specialized courses in the School of Nursing.Â
“It’s everything the Ph.D. in Global Leadership students do course-wise, but instead of organizational leadership courses, students will take core courses from the Doctor of Nursing Practice program," said Troy faculty member Dr. Stephanie Lewis.Â
The program is also aimed at non-clinical roles and is reportedly "ideal" for those interested in administrative and strategic positions, some examples being CEOs of hospitals and leaders in government agencies.Â
