The season begins on Oct. 6 with a performance by acoustic group Act of Congress, which has been touring nationally and will play at the Demopolis High School Auditorium on 701 U.S. Highway 80 at 6 p.m.Â
Tickets for the performance are $10 at the door but free for students and arts council members.Â
TRAC will sponsor performances of "The Color Purple" presented by the Canebrake Players on Nov. 13-16. An opening reception will be held on Nov. 13 before the show. Times for performances have not yet been announced.Â
On Jan. 22 Central Alabama Theatre and Carle Peoples Production will present "A Grand Night at the Opry". There will be covers of Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and Charlie Pride.Â
Alabama Ballet will present "At Home: New Voices" on April 2 at 7 p.m.Â
"This program offers an intimate look at the creative works emerging from within the organization," said a press release from TRAC. "At Home: New Voices is both a celebration of individuality and a testament to collaboration. It is a powerful reminder that innovation often begins from within."Â
The "grand finale" will be the annual paint party with Kirk Brooker on May 13 at 6 p.m. The location has yet to be announced.Â
