An apparent murder-suicide took place on Saturday during the Labor Day weekend in a Selma neighborhood. 

According to WAKA, police responded to the 300 block of Old Marion Junction Road after receiving a 911 call. Two people were found deceased inside of the residence. 

District Attorney Robert Turner, Jr. confirmed that one was a 62-year-old woman who died of a gunshot wound while the other was a 59-year-old man who also died from a gunshot.  

The deaths appear to have stemmed from a domestic violence situation, Turner said. 

He added that there will be no criminal charges filed as both of the subjects are deceased.
