Two teens have been arrested and charged with capital murder in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old in Uniontown on Oct. 12.

Jayelynn Cole, 18, and Martrell Carlisle, 19, were arrested in the shooting death of Shermain Cain of Uniontown, who was found unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound inside his vehicle in the parking lot of the Dollar General and the Jones Lounge in Uniontown the evening of Oct. 12.

The arrests were announced Oct. 25 after an investigation by Uniontown Police Department, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the District Attorney's Office.

The teens are currently held without bond at the Madison County Jail pending formal arraignment.
