The University of Alabama (UA) has confirmed that President Donald Trump will deliver a commencement address at a ticketed event on the evening of Thursday, May 1.

Trump first made the announcement on social media on Monday but few details were spared and UA had not confirmed it at the time. He also announced that he will be speaking at U.S. Military Academy in West Point, NY.

Ticket pricing and other details are forthcoming, said a post on social media by the University.

"Campus logistics and security measures are being carefully coordinated, and ticketing information for graduates and other event details will be communicated in the coming days," the post states.

The address will be made at the Coleman Coliseum and will be open to all spring 2025 graduates.
