UWA to hold groundbreaking for 'major' expansion, renovation of Student Union Building

The University of West Alabama (UWA) will hold a groundbreaking for a "major" expansion and renovation to the Student Union Building on Feb. 16. 

"The project represents a significant investment in campus life and student engagement, enhancing gathering spaces, dining options, meeting areas, health and wellness, recreation, and student resources," said a press release from UWA. 

The groundbreaking will feature: 

• UWA President and University leadership
• Student Government Association representatives
• Campus and community stakeholders
• State and local elected leaders
• Construction & Architecture Project Managers

It will take place at 2 p.m. at the Student Union Building on 231 Student Union Drive in Livingston.
