The University of West Alabama (UWA) will hold a groundbreaking for a "major" expansion and renovation to the Student Union Building on Feb. 16.Â
"The project represents a significant investment in campus life and student engagement, enhancing gathering spaces, dining options, meeting areas, health and wellness, recreation, and student resources," said a press release from UWA.Â
The groundbreaking will feature:Â
- UWA President and University leadership
- Student Government Association representatives
- Campus and community stakeholders
- State and local elected leaders
- Construction & Architecture Project Managers
It will take place at 2 p.m. at the Student Union Building on 231 Student Union Drive in Livingston.Â
