The University of West Alabama (UWA) will inaugurate its president, Todd G. Fritch, during an investiture ceremony on Sept. 12.

Fritch previously served as Vice President and Provost at the State College of Florida. He was selected by the UWA Board of Trustees in September 2024 and succeeded Dr. Ken Tucker, who retired several months afterward.

The inauguration will be held at the UWA Auditorium at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a reception in the courtyard of Bell Conference Center.

UWA is located at 100 N. Washington Street in Livingston.

EDIT: This story was updated to correct the date from Sept. 13 to Sept. 12.
