Parts of Selma may have little or no water pressure Wednesday night as Water Works employees do maintenance, Selma Water Works said today.

A water main leak is causing residents and businesses near Highway 5 in Marion to have low or no water pressure.

The water main leak started on Monday. City of Marion officials said a maintenance team is "on site and working to complete the necessary repairs as quickly and safely as possible."

"We appreciate your patience and understanding while repairs are underway," the city said in a statement.

Additional updates will be provided as the city releases information.

Water line issues have plagued Marion over the last several years and prompted boil water notices and bottled water giveaways as recently as last month.
