The Wilcox Area Chamber of Commerce has kicked off its Big Buck Contest to run through Feb. 10, 2024 with different categories to submit entries to. 

In addition to Wilcox County deer may be harvested in Butler, Dallas, Clarke, Lowndes, Marengo and Monroe counties. 

The contest is accepting entries in the categories of Big Doe and Adult, Youth, Women's and Bow divisions. More than $15,000 worth of gift certificates will be awarded to winners. 

There will also be a $250 monthly drawing in November, December and February. Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $10 for youths.
