The Wilcox County Courthouse will close temporarily to deal with a mold issue that was recently found.Â
According to a notice posted by the Wilcox County Emergency Management, "above average levels" of mold were detected in air samples.Â
For now people may use face masks when entering the building but it will close on Aug. 7 for cleaning until a "safer environment is established."Â
Court business can be either delayed or taken to the Wilcox Works building, which is serving as a temporary location for the courthouse until it reopens.Â
