A Wilcox County man was killed in a single-vehicle car crash on Sunday near Camden.

Fredrick D. Kennedy Jr., 25, was fatally injured when the 2020 Hyundai Kona he was driving left the road, struck a utility pole and then a tree, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The accident happened at 1 a.m. Sunday on Alabama 41 near the 84 mile marker two miles south of Camden.

ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division says he was not wearing a seat belt. Kennedy, who is from Coy, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

ALEA says no further information is available and an investigation continues.
