WoodmenLife Selma Chapter 3 recently presented a $1,000 check to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office to support the Project LifeSaver program.

Project LifeSaver provides bracelets for those with dementia or Alzheimer's that tracks their location in the event that they wander from their homes and loved ones.

Batteries for the bracelets are generally replaced every 30 days. The donation from the WoodmenLife Selma Chapter will help with that.

"This contribution will help provide much-needed batteries for those enrolled in the program, ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members," said a press release from the chapter.

In the press release, WoodmenLife thanked Sheriff Mike Granthum for continuing to implement the program.
