Akron - Wanda Kay "Meme" Hilyer of Akron AL, passed away on May 8, 2024, in Tuscaloosa, AL, at the age of 62. She was born on July 30, 1961 in Lafayette AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents W.D. Hunt and Mary Jane Hearn, and her precious Grandson, J.C.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; her children, Tiffany (Jimmy), Jonathan, Ashley (Jon) special daughter, Kristie; her grandchildren, Iesha (Chett), Maryiah (Marlon), Natefia, Tamara (Shamar), Raheem, Destiny, Ardajah "Oodie", Shamiyah, Bre'Unnah, Isaiah, Malachi, Kehlani, Khalia, Kyla, DeMeisha, Eri'unna, Marlon Jr "June", Payton, Journei, Ar'moni, Dallas, Harmony, Tristan, Kade, Lenox, and Kaizen; her sister, Glenda Ann; her brother, Charlie; her uncle, Donnie Hunt and her Aunts, Sue and Peggy , and all of her loving in-laws.
Wanda, known to her loved ones as "Meme," enjoyed thrift store shopping and cherished spending time with her extensive family and hosts of very special friends.
A service to honor her life will be held on May 18th, 2pm til 5pm at 540 Roebuck Landing Rd, Akron, AL 35441.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Wanda may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
