Openings:

Dental Hygienist

Summary: Specializes in preventive oral health, typically focusing on techniques in oral hygiene. Provide preventive services to promote and maintain good oral health; educational services to help patients develop behaviors that promote better oral health and help them understand the importance of practicing these behaviors, and therapeutic services or treatments meant to stop diseases and maintain healthy tissues in the mouth.

Education: 

Graduate from a dental hygiene program with an Associate degree, certificate,

Bachelor’s degree, and/or Master’s degree from a dental hygienist school that is accredited by

the American Dental Association (ADA).

Experience:

Two years of experience with confirmation of written and clinical board examination records.

Registered Nurse (Pediatric):

Summary: Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.

Education: State of Alabama licensure. Associate’s degree

(ADN) with an accredited nursing program.

 Physician 

Summary: Serves as a preceptor for the Nurse Practitioner and is available for medical consultation during center hours. Provides medical management of patients referred by the Nurse Practitioner or refers to other Physicians as needed. Maintains the record of the care provided. 

Education: Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Practitioner 

Experience: Licensed or eligible for a license to practice medicine in the State of Alabama. 

Nurse Practitioner

Summary: Provide primary health care to patients of the Rural Health Medical Program.  The Nurse Practitioner assures that the patient's needs are met professionally and privately without regard to race, gender, religion, or ability to pay.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree or Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner

Experience: Previous work experience preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performs delegated patient care functions.  The work that is performed is done under the established policies and procedures of the organization and within the educational preparation and regulatory requirements for licensure. The LPN will be expected to assess and analyze a given situation and make decisions within the limits of licensed practice.  Trains and supports new staff with enthusiasm and actively promotes activities to help them successfully assimilate into the work area.

Education: Licensed Practical Nurse degree

Experience: 1-year experience in a clinical setting.

Licenses, Certification, and/or Registrations: Current licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing and must be Certified to practice Nursing in the State of Alabama. BLS certification.

Patient Service Representative

Summary:

Manage the Front Desk Operations, Front Desk Associates, and Clerical Associates at the various Health Centers.

Education: High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Health Administration or related field is preferred. 

Experience: One to two years previous experience or related environment preferred. Good interpersonal and communications skills

Licensed Nutritionist or Licensed Dietitian

Summary:

The Nutritionist monitors and documents patient progress and consults with physicians as needed. Reviews physicians diagnosis and designs and implements therapeutic nutritional care plans for patients utilizing general dietetic standards and regulations. Educates and provides guidance to staff, patients, and families regarding diet and food plans. Conducts Nutrition classes for patients and community as needed. 

Education: Nutritionist requires a bachelor's degree. Licensed Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). 

Experience: 2 to 4 years of related experience.

Marketing Coordinator

 
Summary: The Marketing Coordinator will work to facilitate marketing for the Rural Health Medical Program, Inc.  This position is responsible for overseeing the project management system and working closely with staff on trafficking projects; completing marketing administrative projects; aiding in creating and enhancing marketing efforts; working with vendors for printing and promotional orders and working with the department to maintain and report on social media outlets. Coordinates volunteer productivity and satisfaction.  Provide leadership and direction as well as work with minimal supervision.  Manages marketing vendor correspondence and vendor meeting communications.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, or related field preferred. 
Experience: Equivalent work experience considered.  Two to five years’ experience in marketing, public relations, philanthropy or related field. 

  

Social Worker

 

Summary:Assess and treat individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs. Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education. Responsible for developing a treatment plan that best suits a patient's individual needs. Must be able to use good judgement and experiences to apply to individual patients.

Education

A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, mental health, social work or sociology from an accredited institute and/or related majors may be acceptable.

Experience

Two to three years’ relevant or direct experience within social services preferred.  Extensive and effective communication skills, reporting analysis, knowledge and experience are needed for this occupation. Must have the ability to accurately document patient observations.

Licenses, Certification and/or Registrations

Social Worker licensure (LICSW) for the state of Alabama and/or with at least two years of supervised clinical experience

Community Health Worker (COVID-19)

Summary: This position provides community-based health information and support in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the City of Montgomery. This team member will strengthen current COVID response efforts in Montgomery by conducting educational household and group outreach regarding COVID-19 prevention and transmission, pre-existing health condition management, and access to healthcare. CHWs will promote testing and vaccination events, facilitate referrals to health services, and conduct individual needs assessments to link COVID-affected community members to social support services. This position will conduct community outreach and household visits but does not require a clinical background and will not conduct clinical activities such as performing tests and screening. This position will work 40 hours per week for 11 months with possible extension. 

Experience:  Experience in health/social service field or community advocacy is beneficial.  Fluency in a language other than English is beneficial.      

Qualifications: Individual must be 18 years or older, must have a valid driver’s license,  and preferably reside in the Montgomery area. Must have the ability to effectively communicate COVID-19 health-related information and resources using a variety of methods.  

Billing & Finance Specialist

Summary:

 Prepares and submits clean claims to third party payers either electronically or by paper. Maintains relationship with Athenahealth account manager, including appropriate follow-up with support issues. Verify patient eligibility through various third-party sources prior to the claim submission.  Manage monthly/weekly/daily EHR Best Practice reports regarding claims, overpayments, claim denials, etc. Manage the submission of provider claims and report missing claims to CFO weekly. Handles patient balance inquiries and answers questions from front desk staff and insurance companies. Identifies and resolves patient billing problems. Denial and insurance follow-up management.  Issues adjusted, corrected, and/or rebilled claims to third party payers. Assure coding is compliant and up to date. Reviews accounts and makes recommendations to the Billing Director regarding non-collectible accounts. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.  Responsible for maintaining the Retrocaid system as it relates to collecting Medicaid lost revenue. Assist with A/R resolutions

Education: RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred

Experience: 2 to 3 years experience
