After a bye week and coming off a loss at Wilcox Academy, the AISA Class AAA Region 2 Lowndes Academy Rebels rebounded to close out the regular season with a 41-7 non-region win at Hooper Academy Thursday night.

With the win, the Rebels improved to 8-2 overall but remained 4-0 and ranked number one in region play. Lowndes Academy will host Valiant Cross in the playoffs on Nov. 7.

In Thursday night’s contest, the Rebels had 414 yards of total offense while holding the Hooper Academy Colts to 140 yards total offense.

The Rebels went for 182 yards through the air and 232 yards on the ground. The Colts managed 106 yards through the air and 34 yards rushing.

For Lowndes Academy, Bradyn Stokes completed eight of 11 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. He suffered one interception. Also, for the Rebels, Kimmins Morgan went one for two passing for five yards.

Leading the way on the ground for the Rebels, Whit Holley rushed nine times for 110 yards and three touchdowns; Crawford Danby rushed six times for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Also, for the Rebels, Huston Hampton caught three passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

Hampton ran for a 2-point conversion, Bradford Tidwell kicked one extra point and the Rebels scored on a safety.
