The Jacksonville Jaguars interviewed a seventh candidate, Baltimore offensive coordinator Todd Monken, on Thursday night for their head coaching vacancy. The Jaguars are searching for a replacement for Doug Pederson, who was fired on Jan. 6 after Jacksonville finished 4-13 in his third season with the club. Monken, 58, did a virtual interview as the Ravens are preparing for an AFC divisional playoff game Sunday at the Buffalo Bills. He has served as the Ravens' OC for two seasons after spending three years as the OC and quarterbacks coach at the University of Georgia, which captured national championships in 2021 and 2022. His previous NFL experience includes being the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2016-18. He also was the Jaguars' wide receivers coach in 2007-10. Monken also was head coach for Southern Mississippi (2013-15), where his teams went a combined 13-25, including 9-5 in 2015. The Jaguars also have interviewed Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC Liam Coen, former New York Jets coach Robert Saleh, Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Kansas City Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo and Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn. The Lions are hosting the Washington Commanders on Saturday night in the NFC divisional playoffs, while the Chiefs host the Houston Texans on Saturday in the AFC playoffs. Jacksonville also has requested interviews with Minnesota Vikings DC Brian Flores, Bills OC Joe Brady and Philadelphia Eagles OC Kellen Moore. The Eagles host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in an NFC playoff game. --Field Level Media
