The grass was freshly cut and the helmets were freshly shined for Spring Training Opening Day for the Selma High School Saints.
Will Gandy and the Selma High School Saints officially kicked off spring training. You could feel the intensity from the sideline. The coaches were pumped and the players were giving it all they had.
“I saw a lot of the guys moving around better. The guys were disciplined. They did what the coaches asked of them and everyone seemed focused. I was really impressed with the first day. We will be working on fundamentals and discipline. We want to be disciplined on offense and defense. We want our guys fly around fast and attack.” said Will Gandy.
There will be several guys to watch for the Saints this year and the college recruiters have been in heavy rotation.
“I did see some young guys from R. B. Hudson step up today and work hard. I was really impressed by that.” say Will Gandy.
R. B. Hudson S.T.E.A.M. Academy finished their football season with a record of 5-1 and there has been a lot of excitement around what they will bring to Selma High School on next year.
