Five fugitives wanted for crimes including murder and rape are in custody after a four-day operation last week in Selma, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force announced Monday.
Five men were arrested in the operation:
Richardson, Fredricquez – Murder
Whitt, Frederick – Murder
Alexander, Loveless – Rape First Degree, Sexual Assault, Attempted Sodomy
Maye, Derrick – Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth (Federal Arrest)
Moore, Timothy – Possession of Marijuana, Fleeing and Eluding
An AR-style weapon was recovered in the vehicle Moore was operating. Due to Moore’s criminal history, he also received additional state charges for certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol, according to a release from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
The operation was led by the US Marshals GCRFTF – Mobile Office, with the assistance of the Southern District of Alabama, Selma Alabama Firearms Enforcement Task Force, Mobile Police Department, Thomasville Police Department, Demopolis Police Department, Jackson Police Department, Alabama Pardon and Paroles, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Clarke County Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney’s Office Fourth Judicial Circuit, and District Attorney’s Office Seventeenth Judicial Circuit.
“The US Marshals are committed to locating and arresting violent fugitives in the Selma, Alabama area”, said Mark F. Sloke, the U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Alabama. “It’s important to keep the streets of South Alabama safe, and we will continue to track down individuals who choose to violate the law.”

Costello, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama. “We will continue to leverage every resource available to bring violent criminals to justice in our district.”
The United States Marshals Service established the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in 2006.
