Black Belt Benefit Group (BBG) has announced that volunteers will help install bike racks and workstation in Selma on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 3 p.m.

Youth volunteers from the Jonathan Daniels Youth Pilgrimage of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama will lend a hand in the project, made possible by the City of Selma and multiple donors, including the Montgomery Bicycle Club.

The project aims to promote cycling and active transportation in the city, said a press release from BBG.

Donations came from Trustmark Bank, Bush Hog, Henry Brick, Rhaglan Group (St. James Hotel), Arts Revive, Clay Carmichael, and the Montgomery Bicycle Club

"We are immensely grateful to the City of Selma, our local partners, and the youth volunteers for joining us in this transformative project," said Josh Wilkerson, President of Blackbelt Benefit Group.

"By installing these bike racks and a workstation, we are not only facilitating cycling but also fostering a sense of empowerment and engagement among our youth."
