Alabama Cooperative Extension Hosting Garden-to Pantry Workshop in Selma

On Friday April 19th the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) will be hosting a Garden to Pantry workshop in Selma. The workshop will be held in collaboration with Tuskegee Cooperative Extension and be held at their Blackbelt Marketing and Innovation Center (4100 US 80 Selma, AL).

The workshop will be held from 1-4pm and will cover different benefits and aspects of backyard blueberry and strawberry production. The workshop will be led by ACES Regional Agents, Alice Moore, Tera Glenn and Olivia Fuller. Topics will include health benefits and different options for enjoying fresh produce, maintenance and pest management for backyard strawberry and blueberry. The workshop will also cover ways to preserve your crop for enjoyment past the growing season such as fruit dehydration and how to make strawberry jam.

Pre-registration is required and there is a $12 registration fee to participate.
