Molecular biology student Courtney Wynn from Hope Hull was one of 45 Mississippi State students to attend the 2024 interdisciplinary Global Game Changers study abroad trip to Italy.

"This is a life changing trip for students. They can study abroad with their peers from campus who soon turn into friends and see sights that you maybe wouldn't be able to see as a regular tourist. Many of my students come back from these trips saying it changed their perspective on everything in life." said MSU Associate Professor Charles Freeman, faculty lead for the trip.

Morgan Michele Lewis of Montgomery commissioned into the Army, Nurse Corps in a ceremony held Dec. 15 by the University of North Georgia. 

Morgan Lewis of Montgomery made the fall 2023 Dean's List at the University of North Georgia (UNG) for achieving at least a 3.5 grade-point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

Bryce Prater of Montgomery was named to the Fall 2023 Dean's List at Berry College. The Dean's List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at University of Mississippi inducted Miller Williams, of Montgomery, majoring in Multi-Disciplinary Studies, among the more than 190 students. The university held an induction ceremony on Oct. 25 at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts on campus.

Lauren Drumheller of Pike Road and Louise Stewart of Selma were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
