Demopolis City Schools recognized the 2025 Teacher and Staff of the Year at their board meeting Monday.

Westside Elementary’s Teacher of the Year is Mary Lillian Roberts, who has been a teacher for 31 years, and staff member is Tara Brown

US Jones Elementary’s Teacher of the Year is LB Coylar and staff is Erica Howze.

Demopolis Middle School’s Teacher of the Year is Jesse Bell and staff is Taquisha James

Demopolis High’s Teacher of the Year is Connie Boutwell, history teacher, and staff is Carl Bolden Jr. 

Demopolis Board of Education’s staff of the year is Lydia Randall, administrative assistant to the superintendent.
