The Bell family was highlighted by Gov. Kay Ivey after one of their children attending Oaks Classical Cottage School in Montgomery qualified for the CHOOSE Act.

The Bell family are parents Cameron and Tara Bell and their four children: Mary Whit, 11; Shep, 10; Kyng, 8, and Majori “Maj”, 6.

According to an announcement from Ivey, Maj is being supported by the act as she Oaks Classical Cottage School. Her siblings will join her next year.

“Cameron and Tara Bell are a prime example of parents having access to educational options that align with their goals academically, socially and in the values they are instilling in their children,” said Governor Ivey. “As I have often said, parents know what is best for their children, and the CHOOSE Act is making that kind of choice more accessible for Alabama families like the Bells.”

The CHOOSE Act is a legislation that provides refundable income tax credits titled education savings accounts to eligible K5-12 students and can pay for tuition, fees and other educational expenses.
