Marion Mayor Dexter Hinton still has his job after the Sept. 23 runoff.

Hinton received 673 votes. Challenger Travis Perkins received 478 votes. Four candidates were in the race at the general election.

In the race for District 2 of the Marion City Council, incumbent Tommy Leon Kennie was re-elected with 167 votes. Edd Miree received 96 votes.  

New terms begin on the first Monday in November, Nov. 3.
