Said property is commonly known as 314 Parkman Ave, Selma, AL 36701.
Should a conflict arise between the property address and the legal description the legal description will control.
Said property will be sold subject to any outstanding ad valorem taxes (including taxes which are a lien, but not yet due and payable), the right of redemption of any taxing authority, all outstanding liens for public utilities which constitute liens upon the property, any matters which might be disclosed by an accurate survey and inspection of the property, any assessments, liens, encumbrances, easements, rights-of-way, zoning ordinances, restrictions, special assessments, covenants, the statutory right of redemption pursuant to Alabama law, and any matters of record including, but not limited to, those superior to said Mortgage first set out above. SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD’S OFFICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS ISSUES FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS OF RAIL LINE IN ALABAMA AND MISSISSIPPI
On May 3, 2024, the Surface Transportation Board’s (Board) Office of Environmental Analysis (OEA) issued a Final Environmental Assessment (EA) for CSX Transportation Inc.’s (CSXT) request for Board authority to acquire and operate the assets comprising the rail line of Meridian & Bigbee Railroad, L.L.C. (MNBR) that runs approximately 93.7 miles between Burkville and Myrtlewood, Alabama and Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited’s (CPKC) request to acquire from MNBR and to operate approximately 50.4 miles of rail line between Meridian, Mississippi, and Myrtlewood, Alabama. The public comment period ended on April 17, 2024.
The Final EA responds to comments received on the Draft EA and sets forth OEA’s final recommendations, including final recommended mitigation measures, to the Board. Issuance of the Final EA completes the Board’s environmental review in these proceedings. Next, the Board will consider the transportation merits of the applications for the CSXT and CPKC Transactions, and the entire environmental record, as part of its final decisions.
The Final EA for both CSXT’s Transaction (Docket No. FD 36727) and CPKC’s Transaction (Docket No. FD 36732), may be viewed and downloaded electronically through the Board’s website, www.stb.gov, by clicking on the “Decision” link under Recent Decisions or the link in the press release under Latest News.
