I just love a great dill sauce. I love it on fish, chicken, steak, potatoes … you get the idea. Even though I absolutely adore dill sauce, I don’t always enjoy the high calorie and fat content brought on by the heavy cream, butter, etc. I made it my mission to reclaim my love for dill sauce by making a healthier version.Â
Nonfat Greek yogurt is a staple in my house. I use it to replace sour cream and heavy cream in a lot of my recipes. It provides the same richness and flavor without the additional calories.Â
This sauce is so easy to make and will take you less than 5 minutes to prepare. I hope you enjoy.Â
Easy Dill SauceÂ
IngredientsÂ
2 tablespoons of low-fat margarineÂ
4 cloves garlic, mincedÂ
1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurtÂ
1 tablespoon freshly chopped dillÂ
1 tablespoon lemon juiceÂ
¼ cup unsweetened almond milkÂ
1 teaspoon creole seasoningÂ
Salt and pepper to tasteÂ
InstructionsÂ
Melt margarine in a microwave-safe bowl for about 60 seconds or until melted.Â
Add minced garlic, Greek yogurt, dill, almond milk and lemon juice to melted margarine and stir until blended.Â
Add creole seasoning, salt and pepper.Â
Recipe notesÂ
Easy Dill Sauce will make approximately 2 cups of sauce. I normally use about ¼ cup per piece of meat, but you can use as much or as little as you want. I love to pair this sauce with grilled or baked salmon. Delish.Â
