Two candidates have qualified for the open Ward 1 seat on the Selma City Council.

Denson Henry and Felicia Y. King Thomas will face off in a special election on Dec. 8. The seat is open after the council removed Troy Harvill from the seat in June because he stopped attending meetings.

Todd and Cindy talk about the election in this segment of the Black Belt Newscast.
