Jackson Hospital in Montgomery is no longer in bankruptcy, said an announcement from its CEO John Quinlivan.
According to WAKA, paperwork was filed to bring the hospital out of bankruptcy after it was announced that it would continue to maintain operations. 30% of hospitals come out of bankruptcy, he said.
Previously, Jackson Hospital had filed a lawsuit against Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama over reimbursement rates. The dispute continued until an agreement was reached in August.
Todd and Cindy talk about the exit in this segment of the Black Belt Newscast.
