The Board of Directors of Theresa Burroughs Residential Living, Inc. will host its 2nd Annual Caregivers Appreciation Day on March 28.
The center was established in 2022 by Toni Love, who is the daughter of Theresa Burroughs and became a caregiver to her older sister, Paula.Â
"Since working with the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities community, Toni realized there was a need for quality caregivers and caretakers, especially in the rural areas," said a press release from the board.Â
"This event is to bring Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses and those who assist family and friends, together, to say, 'Thank You!' We want to thank them for giving their time and support to those who need assistance."
It will be attended by Director, Dr. Marlon Murray, the Health and Science Instructor, Tiffany Parker and the Cosmetology Instructor, Pam Duncan.
It was announced that Theresa Burroughs Residential Living, Inc. is reportedly the first state-approved home for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Greensboro.
The Caregivers Appreciation Day will be held at the Hale County College and Career Academy on 19875 Hwy 69 in Greensboro from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
