Four are dead after a single-vehicle crash took place at U.S. 80 on Thursday evening. 

A statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said that the accident occurred at approximately 6:27 p.m.

A 2006 Toyota Avalon being driven by an 18-year-old from Wetumpka reportedly left the road and struck a tree. A 17-year-old from Selma was among those killed along with Isaiah D. McDade, 19, of Pike Road, and Tyler O. Jones, 19, of Montgomery.

Another passenger, Deneco D. Smith, 19, of Montgomery, was injured and transported for medical treatment.

The crash took place on U.S. 80 near the 90 mile marker, approximately 10 miles east of the Selma city limits.
