The 48th Annual Kathryn Tucker Windham Tale Tellin’ Festival will take place on Oct. 15 and will be headlined by Megan Hicks.

Hicks will join fellow "Tale Teller" Betty Anderson in visiting local schools before the event on Oct. 15 at the Arts Revive Carneal Building. A press release stated that last year more than 1,200 students and nursing home residents were reached at the previous festival.

Stories that Hicks shares fall into fairy tale, personal story, American history, parody, ghost/horror, and humor.

"Her favorite story is whichever one she happens to be telling at the moment," said the press release.

Charlies "Tin Man" Lucas will be the emcee, with music being provided by the Yam Family Band. Catering will be by Tally Ho.

Tickets are $28 and are available on eventbrite.com or at Gallery 905 and the meal is included in the price.

The festival will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Carneal Building located at 3 Church Street at 5:30 PM.
