Absentee voting voting for the Nov. 3 general election begins today, said a reminder from Secretary of State Wes Allen.
According to the reminder county absentee election managers will need to receive mail-in absentee ballot applications by Oct. 27 with the deadline to return absentee ballots application in person on October 29.
Absentee ballots returned in-person are to be received by the county absentee election manager by the close of the business day before the election on Nov. 2. Absentee ballots returned by mail will need to be received by noon on Nov. 3.
It is recommended for voters to mail absentee ballot application and absentee ballots at least two weeks before the deadline for county absentee election managers to receive them. Voters are also required to present a valid form of photo ID when voting at their polling place or by absentee ballot.
