The Alabama Department of Corrections will graduate its second class of Correctional Officer Trainees (COT) at Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) on Thursday, June 20.

54 COTS are graduating from the Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center after completing 10 consecutive weeks of training to obtain Alabama Peace Officers’ Standard and Training Commission (APOSTC) certification.

"The ADOC acknowledges the crucial support provided by Governor Kay Ivey and Alabama Legislature, which has significantly bolstered the efforts to achieve rising hiring rates," said a press release from ADOC on Wednesday. "The ADOC is actively recruiting for a variety of security and non-security positions at correctional facilities statewide."
