Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen has issued several reminders for voters as the Nov. 3 midterm election approaches.

“AlabamaVotes.gov remains the best resource for voters preparing to exercise their right to vote in the November 3 General Election,” he said. “Alabamians can verify their voter registration status, find their polling location, and review their county’s sample ballot ahead of Election Day."

"Voters can also view the ballot statements for the four proposed statewide constitutional amendments on the ballot so that they are fully prepared when heading to the polls.”

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 3. Photo IDs are required for both in person and absentee voting.

Results will be posted on a door or other visible location at each polling place, said a statement from Allen's office. The cumulative unofficial election results will be posted on www.AlabamaVotes.gov.

“Alabama’s probate judges, circuit clerks, sheriffs, boards of registrars, and poll workers work diligently to ensure Alabama elections are conducted in a secure, transparent, and accountable way," said Allen. "As Alabama’s Chief Elections Official, I am grateful to all of Alabama’s local election officials and commend them for their hard work preparing for Election Day.”
