The Alabama Law Enforcement's (ALEA) Metro Area Crime Suppression (MACS) Unit has released a report, saying that it has made "measurable strides" after 133 days.Â
The report lists numbers of arrests, seizures and others between June 24, 2024 when it was established and May 29, 2025.Â
During that time there 2,900 traffic stops, 952 arrest warrants served, 414 arrests, 256 firearms seized, 164 machinegun conversion devices seized, 65 stolen vehicles recovered.Â
"Since its formation on June 24, 2024, and through 133 days of active operations, the MACS Unit has delivered results that reflect its commitment to public safety and its strategic approach to law enforcement," said a post on social media by ALEA.Â
