Delta Regional Authority

The DRA was established in 2000 to promote economic development in the Lower Mississippi River and Alabama Black Belt regions.

Applications are open for $9.7 million in relief funding from the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) for people who were affected by disasters between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

Amounts rang from $500,000 to $2 million to support basic public infrastructure, transportation infrastructure and flood control projects.

“The Supplemental Disaster Recovery Fund creates an opportunity for DRA to provide strategic investments in communities that are still feeling impacts brought upon by national disasters,” said Dr. Corey Wiggins, Federal Co-Chairman. “With these investments, grantees can leverage funds to accelerate progress being made within their affected communities.”

The deadline to apply is Aug. 2 and can be done here
