AT&T scholarship program for HBCU students returns for third year

AT&T's "Rising Future Makers" scholarship program for Historically Black Colleges and Universities or HBCU students is making a return for the third year. 

According to an email from AT&T 50 HBCU students from 14 institutions have participated over two years. 

Scholarship winners will receive: 

• $5,000 scholarship;
• A 5G-enabled tablet with 1-year of complimentary AT&T service;
• A coveted Rising Future Maker letter jacket;
• Exclusive access to industry events, mentoring opportunities, and more.

For every application submitted AT&T will donate a laptop to high school students. 

"This is part of our ongoing mission to ensure everyone has an opportunity to benefit from using online resources to help close the digital divide," said AT&T's email.
